Privacy Policy

This website is administered by The Berkeley Partnership LLP (Berkeley). We want you to feel secure when visiting our site and are committed to maintaining your privacy when you do. The Privacy Policy below is designed to let you know our policies and practices regarding information we collect about you on this site. While we do collect personal information about visitors to our site, any information we collect is done so with your consent and only used for processing any requests you may have made of us, and to inform you about news, events and services we believe you might be interested in. This Privacy Policy governs the URL http://www.berkeleypartnership.com.

What information do we gather?

This is the technical bit. Information on berkeleypartnership.com is gathered in two ways: (1) indirectly (for example, through our site's technology); and (2) directly (for example, when you provide information on various pages of berkeleypartnership.com). One example of information we collect indirectly is through our Internet access logs. When you access berkeleypartnership.com, your Internet address is automatically collected and is placed in our Internet access logs. Another way is through the use of cookies. Cookies are small files of information which save and retrieve information about your visit to berkeleypartnership.com—for example, how you entered our site, how you navigated through the site, and what information you viewed. Please read our Cookie Policy if you want to know more about the cookies we use, or about controlling or disabling cookies.

Berkeley also collects and maintains certain personal information about you when you provide data to us directly, for example by completing any of our online forms or sending us an email. The personal information you provide can identify you individually, and includes items such as your name and email address. When you apply for a job with us, we also collect relevant background information and other personally-identifiable information that you include on your CV or submit as part of your application. Berkeley does not buy or otherwise obtain any supplemental personal information about you from any third parties.

How do we use this information?

We use the information collected through our site’s technology to determine what is most effective about the site, to help us identify ways to improve it, and eventually, to determine how we can tailor it to be more useful. We use the personal information you provide to us to communicate with you directly, including in response to any requests, complaints, or comments you may have about Berkeley. When you apply for a job with us, we use the information you provide solely to evaluate any applications you make to us.

Email communications

If you have contacted a Berkeley employee using a form on the site, emailed us or joined our mailing list, we may also use the information you have provided to us to contact you in the future regarding Berkeley or other topics we feel may be of interest to you. To help us make our communications more interesting to you, and for ease of data processing, we may also use tracking technologies to determine whether you have read or clicked on, or responded to certain email communications we send to you.  If you wish to unsubscribe from any of our communications at any time, please get in touch.

Social media buttons

We use social media buttons on our website to enable our users to share web pages they find interesting and connect with us. These buttons are provided by third party social media sites. These third party sites are not owned or managed by Berkeley, and therefore we do not control the information they may log about your browsing activity. We would suggest that you review the privacy policies of these sites to understand how they use your information and options around opting-out of having this information recorded.

External services

We sometimes use external services on our site to display content on our website pages, for example to show videos. Again, as these sites are not owned or managed by Berkeley, we cannot control the information these organisations collect regarding your use of this embedded content.

Will we share this with outside parties?

Berkeley will never wilfully disclose, sell, trade or rent your personal information to any third party without first receiving your permission, or unless we are instructed to do so by a recognised legal authority.

Do we give you access to your information?

You are entitled to know whether we hold information about you and, if we do, to have access to that information and require it to be corrected if it is inaccurate. If you would like to update information previously submitted to Berkeley or request to have outdated information removed, again simply contact us by email. If at any stage you wish to change your participation in our mailing lists, please contact us to send your request and we will make the appropriate change for you.

What about data security?

We take appropriate steps to maintain the security of your data on berkeleypartnership.com. Unfortunately, the open nature of the Internet is such that data may flow over networks without security measures and may be accessed and used by people other than those for whom the data is intended.

That's it in a nutshell. The short of it is—we are interested in maintaining your privacy and creating a valuable resource for you. If you have any questions now or during your visit, please contact us.
